Another study of babies – Robinson can be identified with the lower right cameo in which the upholstered chair is the same prop used for his photograph titled, Sulee, exhibited in 1859 (Harker, Plate 53.). Composition, vignetting and mood of the left cameo is remarkably similar to Robinson's photograph titled Fleeting expression of a child (1857-1858). This set of babies and the three which follow also date somewhere between 1857 and 1859. It should be noted that Robinson learned vignetting from Dr. Diamond who invented the technique.
