Dr. John H. Musser was a beloved physician in the city of Philadelphia, and served on many civic projects of social medicine. He was an advisor to the mayor and a principal advocator for establishing the department of Social Service Work at the Hospital of UPenn. An honorarium is established in his name at the university.
