Photograph of the hypnotic subject. Very obscure title by a Dutch ophthalmologist whose legacy has become just as obscure. One copy is archived at Berkeley. A copy was offered by Antiquariaat Theo de Boer in 2005 with the speculation that it might be the first book with a photograph published in the Netherlands, however, an offprint of a journal article by Antonie Hendrik Schoemaker was also published in 1877, v. intra: »». Dooremaal was a contributing editor to the Geneeskundige Courant, and published analytics on eye disorders and on the blind in Netherlands.
